Julie resides in Forest Grove, OR, along with her husband, youngest and fur baby, Mocha. She teaches on the subject of domestic violence, human trafficking, marketing, websites and writing.
Julie is a trained domestic violence adocate, a survivor and an abuse recovery group leader. She also faciliatates the Survivor Voices Committee for the Family Justice Center of Washington County.
She has participated in many classes and is considered an expert in the domestic violence field. She wrote the five week, online faith-based faciliator training (DVAT) that ARMS (Abuse Recovery Ministry & Services) uses and also has written the courses “Stalking: Obsession”, “Compassion Fatigue & Leader Boundaries”, “Risk Assessment & Safety Planning” and “How Domestic Violence & Human Trafficking Intersect” for ARMS. She has also taken the following training:
- Faith-Based Domestic Violence Training with Focus Ministries.
- Allies in Change, “Working with Abusive Men” with Dr Chris Huffine
- Expert Witness Training for Strangulation and Abuse
- 40 hour Oregon State domestic advocacy training
Julie is highly connected and maintains thousands of followers on Twitter, and over 30 thousand on various Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other social media groups. She is a graduate of Brian Carter’s Facebook Leads and Sales Machine program and designs websites.
In her spare time, she enjoys writing, reading, gardening and spending time at the beach.
